That is wonderful! I wanted to tell you I enjoyed your post on getting babies to sleep through the night, but the comments were closed. My daughter turns 3 months this week, and is sleeping 11-12 hours at night! Of course, she's our first, so people can still say were "just lucky." :) But it did take some work, and the difference is amazing (well even just 7 hours was great!) Hope he continues to sleep well!
Getting a baby on a solid eating and sleeping routine is a wonderful thing. (I call it "Gentle Scheduling".) It's deliberate, focused work during those first few weeks but the fruit of those efforts is wonderful. It really does work and makes an incredible difference in the home when mom, dad and baby are all getting the rest they need. I appreciate you writing about the subject, Jess! : )
Wonderful news!! I so can remember the days when even a 4 or 5 hour stretch felt like 10 hours!!! I'm sure you are feeling great!! Hopefully he will continue! =)
I am happy to report that your post on kiddos and sleeping well inspired me to really get down to the bottom of why 2 yr old wasn't sleeping well....and I am happy to say that he is now going down w/o Mommy laying with him until he falls asleep(I actually have time to relax in the evening before I fall into bed!) and he is sleeping through the night more nights than not!!! He still wakes sometimes but we are working on it! THANK YOU for that post!!
bwahahaha! Oh what a giggle that gave me this evening...it's amazing how much brighter everything feels after a few good hours of straight sleep. Congratulations! :D Here's to a repeat performance tonight!
That is fantastic! He is our precious angel! I KNOW you felt so good after getting the extra sleep! Sleep is a wonderful thing (and even more wonderful when you have been deprived of it!) Love you, Mom

I had one who didn't sleep 7 hours straight for quite a while so I totally understand that this is such a blessing.
Oh that is Great!
God Bless

I always panic the first time that happens. I feel like, "Did they wake up crying and I was just so tired I never heard them?"
But I bet you feel rested!!!!!
A good night's sleep makes EVERYTHING sunnier! :D
Yeah!!! Remember sleep? That is what it used to be like! :)
